I use Stoneware and Porcelain clays fired in a gas reduction kiln to cone 10-11. The surface decorations include; 1) silver maple leaf imprints enhanced with colored engobes, 2) 'Blue Horizon' Landscape series using various oxides and stains as engobes, 3) 'Silent Voices' series using carved or stamped symbols from a 'lost language', 4) multi-colored clay vessels and bowls mixing 4-5 varying clays, 5) textured stretch pots with layered contrasting clays, 6) fairy garden houses, characters, animals and whistles, 7) functional forms; casseroles, pitchers, butter dishes, mugs and bowls, and 8) miniature wheel thrown pottery 2" in height. All of my glazes and engobes I formulated since I began making pottery in the late 60's.
