Tony Poulson

Tony Poulson is an Utah-based, nationally acclaimed cartoonist whose career began with a flair for witty political cartoon. First gaining attention through his school newspapers in his youth, he went on to become a full-time cartoonist for the University of Utah Daily Chronicle during his college years. His talent shone brightly there, earning him the distinction of being the publication's first national award winner for cartooning from the Society of Professional Journalists—a milestone that marked the start of his rise in the art world.

Building on this early success, Tony Poulson has since captivated audiences with his popular series, The Hand over the Hero, a fan favorite at comic conventions and art festivals worldwide for nearly 13 years. His distinctive style blends recognizable pop culture icons-often handed over by their counterparts or allies-infusing elements of cuteness and quirkiness across genres. Through this series, he offers original artwork, prints, premium vinyl stickers, and limited-edition designer toys, licensed by major names like Nickelodeon and Bob Ross, delighting collectors and fans alike. He lives in South Jordan, Utah, with his unbelievably supportive wife, two amazingly funny and thoughtful kids, and their herd of cats.
